K’Ozzie Fest 2013 under the Patronage of the Polish Embassy

Venue: Banjo Paterson Park, Kosciuszko Rd, Jindabyne. Polish BBQ available from 2 pm. Music on CD.
• 5 p.m – 8 p.m an outdoor event over the lake at the Strzelecki Monument in Banjo Paterson Park. Welcome to Country by Ngarigo Elders. Two piano recitals. A special performance by an Afro-American pianist Roy Eaton from New York, dedicated to the Ngarigo people, the traditional custodians of Mt Kosciuszko. (Donations welcome). Followed by Krzysztof Malek’s recital. . Roy’s CDs on sale: “Meditative Chopin, Joyful Joplin” & “I Play for Peace”.
From 6 to 7 p.m Kosciuszko Pale Ale tasting. Sponsored by Chuck Hahn and Kosciuszko Brewery (based at Banjo Paterson Inn).
And a message from Chuck Hahn: “ Fresh beer is always available at Banjo’s. The Kosciuszko Pale Ale is on tap, along with the Kosciuszko Mountain Wheat Ale. Banjo’s will also be selling 12 packs of KPA to take-away.”
• 8:00 – 10 p.m.: an outdoor concert at the Strzelecki Monument. Official speeches. Laser Show by Polish Didgeridoo Man followed by performance of guests from Poland: Zayazd Ensemble and Claribel Quartet. Bogumiła Filip & Dariusz Plust from Sydney. Free entry. Polish artists’ CDs on sale. Books about Kosciuszko & Strzelecki also available.

• 10 – 10.30 a.m.: Venue: Bowling & Sports Club, Bay Street, next to Banjo Paterson Park. Movie premiere “Polish-Aboriginal Fraternity Flights over Mt Kosciuszko” & presentation of Fraternity Flights Diplomas. Free entry.
• 11.30 – 12 noon. Video screening at Bowling & Sports Club: a retransmission of Centenary Mass on Mt Kosciuszko celebrated by Most Rev. Bp Julian Porteous. The screening on demand possible between 12 noon and 4 pm. Free entry.

• 12 noon – 4 p.m: celebrating 25th anniversary of the unveiling of the Strzelecki Monument. Official speeches and presentation of a new Memorial Plaque. Gala Concert featuring folkloric dances by Lajkonik Ensemble from Sydney and Lowicz from Melbourne. Performances by “Scena 98” Theatre Group, the Kowalski Sisters, rising stars Olivia Kierdal from Sydney and Klaudia Sosin from Perth. Also Bogumiła Filip & Dariusz Plust from Sydney.

• 4 p.m an outdoor Mass celebrated in Polish by Fr Przemysław Karasiuk & Festival Close.

IN CASE OF RAIN – PLAN B
- Saturday 23rd Feb. – from 5 pm to 8 pm – piano recitals on Yamaha by Roy Eaton & Chris Malek — Bowling Club/ Pub Area
- From 8pm -10 pm Gala Concert preceeded by Laser Show if possible. Mainly soloists, only one group has 5 persons performing at a time (The Kowalski Sisters). Bowling Club/ Pub Area & little stage.
Sunday, 24th February
- According to Plan A, 10 am – 12 noon, movie premiere followed by Mt K Mass retransmission. Bowling Club/Bistro
- 12 noon – 4 pm – regardless of weather a short ceremony at the Strzelecki Monument, then all return to the Bowling Club for a gala concert featuring 2 folkloric ensembles & soloists. Bistro Area (proper floor for the dancers).
- 4 pm – an outdoor Mass ( in Polish) to be moved to Bowling Club/Conference Room (downstairs). End of festival.
